02 / Musician + composer

Built in the studio. Rebuilt live.

I’m a composer, electronic musician, and producer blending a background in jazz and composition with a computer-centered approach to performance and production. I have used Ableton Live for more than 16 years, with Max/MSP forming part of my broader computer-music and electronic-performance practice.

From Everywhere

A collection of music written across ten years - newly mixed, newly recorded, newly mastered, and brand new.

Current / weekly

Live looping sessions

Alongside studio releases, I stream beat-driven improvised music. Guitar, piano, organ, and synth textures become loops, then get warped and reshaped in real time so each set evolves differently.

Probability-based triggering keeps the rhythm in motion; no performance resolves in quite the same way twice.

The room behind the signal

A workspace built for ideas in motion.

Current recordings and live sessions take shape in a flexible home studio centered on writing, improvisation, production, and real-time performance.

Background

Music is the throughline.

I studied Jazz/Commercial Music Composition at Towson University with a focus in percussion, working under Thomas Ciufo and Dave Ballou. Under Ciufo, I studied computer music, extended instrumental techniques, and electroacoustic improvisation. My compositions for dance productions by Vincent Thomas have been presented at Theater Project Baltimore and the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage.

In 2014, I received the Towson University Music Department Talent Award for Highway Circuits. I have also worked professionally in AV and audio engineering for well over a decade. Music remains the connective tissue between those worlds.
